Gomes offered to Rovers

Gomes offered to Rovers

Portugese international striker Nuno Gomes has been offered to Blackburn Rovers as a free agent signing after coming to the end of his contract at Braga.

Gomes, who is 36 soon has enjoyed a substantial career as a striker at club and international level, has been offered to the club via his agent with the club now in the frame to decide whether they want him or not.

It is likely to garner some interest from Ewood Park with the player costing nothing in terms of a transfer fee and reinforcements needed with player sales on the horizon.

A decent squad player? Or over the hill? Either way expect this to gather pace...

Think he wants these "oldies" so he can re-register as player-manager, and capture the career he never had.
