VB Awards - VB Column/Article of the Season

VB Awards - VB Column/Article of the Season

Here at Vital Blackburn we've been voting on numerous awards to cap what has been a fairly disastrous season for the blue and white halves of Rovers.

The votes were cast through the course of last week and winners were decided on a majority basis.

The next award to be dished out was for the Vital Blackburn Article/Column of the Season and there were a few that seemed to touch a sweet nerve this year.

Some seemed to enjoy the Vital Blackburn Crystal Ball feature where the site staff regularly embarrass themselves with predictions for the season which never really seem to pan out.

Glen Mullan's Jack Walker tribute was also an emotional segment that seemed to bring a tear to most who read it.

But the winner is... The United Fans Statement.

For those who don't remember round the turn of the New Year all of the major Blackburn Rovers fan sites clumped together to produce a statement aimed at showing the displeasure a united front had towards the club's activities.

It was critically very well received and also the brain child of our very own Sasman.

It may not have pierced the Venky's impenetrable fortress of silence but it wasn't for the lack of trying or quality that is for sure.

Was a good moment seeing all the sites coming together as one to do something like this - at least it showed that the fans will stick together in places!

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
