VB Awards - The Player of the Season

VB Awards - The Player of the Season

Here at Vital Blackburn we've been voting on numerous awards to cap what has been a fairly disastrous season for the blue and white halves of Rovers.

The votes were cast through the course of last week and winners were decided on a majority basis.

One of the categories decided was the Rovers Player of the Season and was probably the most one sided vote of the whole awards.

The winner with all but one of the votes cast is... Yakubu.

£1.5 million for 17 Premier League goals and 18 in all competitions made for a personally sensational year for the chubby little smiler with the hands cross celebration.

In a relegated side that goal haul was a lot higher than anyone would have even prayed for given the mockery that was headed his way upon signing back in August.

Well done Yak, well done.
