Rovers carrying some doubts for final game

Rovers are without a fair few for the trip to Chelsea on Sunday with Paul Robinson and David Dunn both strong doubts and Bradley Orr definitely out having undergone an operation.

Robinson's possible exclusion could mean a debut for young shot stopped Jake Kean (unfortunate surname at this time) and with Dunn having hamstring problems the onus could fall on someone else to lead the midfield.

Orr himself had a troublesome achilles sorted with an operation on Tuesday and will miss the game, presumably so he can absorb more needless abuse on twitter.

Other than that though, Gael Givet has been given the all clear after his injury/dressing room brawl with the manager and everyone else seems to have a clean bill of health.

Kean told the official site - 'We've got a few problems, we've got Paul Robinson who is touch and go with a twisted ankle that he sustained in the last few minutes of the game against Wigan.

'David Dunn has got a hamstring, and whilst Gael Givet had to come off he has been to see the specialist and has had the all clear to be involved on Sunday which is excellent news.

'Bradley Orr is definitely out as he has had an operation on his achilles tendon so there are a few injury worries that we have got but we'll be picking as strong as possible team and attempting to go get get a positive display and a win as that is what we have to do.'

Have to do? Didn't we have to do that on Monday?

Does it really matter who is injured or who isn't, were down anyway.

I'm guessing Robbo having that 'supposed' ankle injury meant that Kean's research into titanium jockstraps has paid dividends
