Blackburn Rovers Relegated

Blackburn Rovers bid farewell to the English Premier League with yet another lacklustre performance, leaving the home fans in tears wondering exactly how their club degenerated from a mid table outfit to absolute garbage.

Steve Kean decided to send out an untested 4-3-3 formation, with Yakubu and Hoilett joined up front by Modeste, leaving a plethora of space in midfield.

Robinson

Orr, Givet, Dann, Martin O

Gamst, Lowe, Dunn

Hoilett, Yakubu, Modeste

With barely any possession, Blackburn Rovers struggled to impact on the game early on. Wigan were more then happy to move the ball around in midfield, utilising Moses and Di Santo as outlets to hold play up as required, allowing McCarthy and co to push on in support. Blackburn managed to do the opposite, pushing the long ball on every opportunity before haplessly giving it away.

What proved to be the most entertaining moment of the half was the wild Chicken chase as Yakubu and El Habsi attempted to catch the stray Rooster, sent out onto the field by some Cheeky Protesters with a Rovers flag attached, an obvious dig at owners Venkys.

Of the first half chances, Di Santo had the best of the opportunities, squeezing in between Dann and Orr before his tame effort was parried by Robinson. Rovers failed to create, with their only ventures into the Wigan box often coming from Paul Robinson free kicks, or poor Morten Gamst Pedersen corners.

David Dunn came off minutes before the break with a strain, Marcus Olsson pushing into defence whilst Martin was moved further up the park.

Half Time 0-0.

Paramedics appeared to be called in at the break as initial word was that Gael Givet had a recurrence of the Heart Palpatations suffered a few weeks back. However that was scoffed as Givet climbed over into the dugout, with either a hamstring strain or a half time incident with the Bald One forcing his substitution, Petrovic entering the pitch.

Blackburn Rovers turned it up a notch early in the first half, but failed to create any clear opportunities. A Gamst Pedersen corner saw the ball fall to Hoilett, who in turn appeared to be fouled, however Mr Clattenburg waved play on. Down the other end, Moses was awarded a Yellow card for simulation, whilst Petrovic decided to clean out McArthur as he surged up field on a counter.

That proved to be the first and last opportunity Blackburn would create as once again, Rovers conceded to a set piece via some very sloppy marking in the heart of defence. Beausejour sent the corner in for Alcaraz to head home at the far post, giving Wigan all 3 points and sending Rovers into the Championship.

Devestating. Enough said

Sorry to see you folks go down, I always had a good laugh with Blackburn fans when they visited Villa Park. Best of luck you guys come back up.

Sadly, this was written in your stars once those stupid poultry farmers with no knowledge of football decided to massage their ego's. And i am Indian myself. Feel really really sorry for you poor fish, er, chickens .
ZeeNut
Last line was written in a lighter vien (could not resist) , but i really am sorry for you folks. You might have noticed that I had written 2-3 times before too that these guys knew nothing about football & no good would come of this move. Hope for your sakes they sell out (and soon).
ZeeNut
Typo. Lighter vein.

The anger will come. right now I just feel empty and sick to my stomach.

and kean needs to just shut the eff up...

Agent Kean-Mission Accomplished! A plane flies over Ewood Park before Blackburn kick off against Wigan, carrying a message reading "In Venky's We Trust – Burnley". Sometimes its good to be a Claret! Ya boo Sucks, welcome to reality!
turfmanphil
That was so gay what Venky did to your club :(

But seriously, what can we do? Kean gets paid for sending out ridiculous teams and spouting nonsense, we pay to watch and hear it all - then get criticised for not being true supporters! WHAT DO YOU DO??
hmibennett
Absolute garbage, gutted but it was on the cards and we fully got what we deserved and to top it off we're now getting flying visits from the dingle inbreds!! Gonna be a long way back after this.
Rye_of_the_Rovers
Aw bless, enjoy the hurt! You shouldn't be such ********s! roflmao

Turfmanphil - 33 years, forever in our shadow. You celebrate Rovers relegation more than your own club..... Thanks for admitting we are bigger and more important ;) Thanks for the 6 points in advance.

It was predictable but it still hurts like a dagger through the heart. Devastated.

sad to see you guys go down, theres worse teams that you guys, Im sad it never worked out for Kean as I believe he is an honest man who never got the breaks or the support of the Chicken Squad.

The shadow has turned into an eclipse for Rovers, one I doubt you will recover from. We embark on a new 33 years! You were only ever where you WERE because you had a rich sugar daddy that bailed you out! Now you will feel the real hurt of not having any finances.Like I say welcome to reality

Hope you come back, all the best from vital spurs

I absolutely feel for you lads, Steve Keane is an utter disgrace, he should have the decency to admit he can't do the job asked of him, Venky's need to feck off in my opinion, how they got rid of big fat Sam is astonishing. My honest wish is that you get the owners and manager you need, you have a good solid squad but are missing that commander. Best of luck and hope to see you back up soon.
Green Villan
Unlucky lads, the blame is with Venkys and Keane, if he had any dignity he would resign...Villa and Blackburn owners should of listened to the fans and sacked the useless ********s in charge of both clubs. And ignore that Aussie Yiddo i see him on other sites and Vital Spurs, he literally hates every club apart from Spurs.
P.Avfc
At the rate we are going under Kean, i already smelled League One football coming pretty soon. The Championship is no easy league to play in, and Steve Kean will be equally out of depth in the Championship. The nightmare continues... I urge all Rovers supporters not to renew their season tickets. Let the team play in an empty stadium, boycott all Rovers sales and merchandises. Hit them where it hurts most - their pockets. The fight against Venkys must continue.
