Ooijer Bid Accepted

Ooijer Bid Accepted

PSV Eindhoven have accepted an improved bid from Blackburn for 32-year-old Dutch international Andre Ooijer. The bid is thought to be in the region of £2 million and Ooijer is expected to sign on a two-year-deal.

Hughes said:

"We have been looking to add to our central defensive options all this summer. He has played at the highest level and would be a real asset for us."

This will be a huge boost for Hughes as Rovers are short in numbers at the back due to injuries and suspensions.

Ooijer now has to agree terms with the club and pass a medical. He will not be available to play against Everton tomorrow but could feature against Chelsea on Sunday.
