Reports emerge of fan attack

Reports emerge of fan attack

Oh it's all fun and games at the moment isn't it?

Chapter 1,462 of the 'what can go wrong next' Blackburn Rovers story has seen reports emerge of an attempted fan attack on Rovers manager Steve Kean at Brockhall on Monday.

At this stage it should be pointed out that it is only in one paper and we hear rumours like this a fair bit at the moment but it would be typical given the current situation at the club.

Sit and prepare to be (slightly less than) amazed.

A club source told Starsport - "The supporter just appeared from nowhere during the session and was intent on getting at the manager.

"He made a beeline for him and clearly had some things he wanted to get off his chest.

"He didn`t get the chance because one of the manager`s bodyguards got to him first and stopped him, but the players couldn`t believe what they were seeing.

"No-one was hurt or anything but it left them all shook up. It was just symptomatic of the current crisis the club finds itself in at the moment."

So I am guessing this is probably an exaggeration of what actually happened then?

It's a shame Kean didn't get smashed one. I would never wish serious harm on anyone but a little shiner might have knocked his brain into actually understanding tactics ;).

No need for that chaps. In fairness, could everyone not agree to leave off Kean until the season's over and we're 100% sure where we'll be playing next year? It's a long summer to showcase everyone's understandable discontent, but this is doing no-one any favours.

It'd be nice to go one day without "Rovers" and "joke club" being synonmyous.

Thats not our doing though theirishrover is it? My comment was in jest. Pinch of salt and all that. Also...I'm already 100% sure where we will be playing next season.

Well he would say that wouldn't he. Why lay off Kean? He's paid a hell of a lot of money for doing a lousy job. Most of the rest of us in the real world wouldn't mind that - although perhaps most of us would have the guts to admit our shortcomings and get out.

Nothing happened Kean come out and said nothing happened, it's just newspapers making it look like Kean is the target so they can blame us for getting relegated, don't pay any attention.
