Rovers Academy Bring Home The Goods

Well we didn't have to wait long to find out the answer - it's congratulations to the Rovers Academy who have bagged themselves their Academy League title after winning 1-0 at Manchester United this morning.

Rovers were fairly dominant throughout but it took until seven minutes before time and a late goal from substitute Modou Cham to seal the points with all three needed to overhaul Manchester City at the top of table.

As a result of today's win Rovers now face a play-off semi final with a tough Newcastle side at Brockhall on Saturday to see who contest the grand final to crown the national academy champions.

Well done to the boys - a great achievement in a season full of highlights for the youngsters.
