'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Venky's continue to live blind lie

Venky's have dismissed reports that the club is for sale after reports emerged in the Sunday People that the Indian family had been searching in private with the help of a broker for a willing buyer.

Despite the claims, the impending threat of relegation to the Championship and the revolt from fans, director Vineeth Rao has stepped out with a denial.

Rao, who is based in Blackburn told the Lancs Telegraph - "It is not true, none of that. We have no plans to sell Blackburn Rovers, none at all.

"Even if the club got relegated, which is not in our thoughts, we are not planning to sell."

Let's just examine that last sentence... relegation is 'not in our thoughts?'

Pretty much tells you all you need to know about how switched on the Venky's crew are.

As a Bolton supporter I should be pleased to see you relegated, however, I have a great deal of begrudging respect for the Rovers and I think it is tragic the way the club has been run since Venky's took over. Both clubs share the same history and there is a strong bond between them, we may share the same fate this season and enter the championship together. At the very least you should go down fighting, extremely surprised with the poor display at Spurs yeaterday. Best wishes whatever happens.

I am a Rovers season ticket holder but have to admit that both Wigan and Bolton deserve to stay up more than Rovers on recent away performance. Prety much resigned now to relegation after yesterday. Spurs keeper could have been given the day off and Dunn was slower than ever.

In the championship sack kean make dunn manager so he can bring the club towards the fans. He maybe slower now but still a hero. He would unite the fans. Ps. Please sell Venkeys

I agree with r.waterfall, based on commitment and fighting spirit Bolton and Wigan deserve to stay up. We are going down and the clowns that own our club should be doing stand up comedy judging by the laughable garbage they talk...

Surely no-one thought that impending relegation was going to make anyone start speaking sense?! Don't know about Dunny as manager - Rovers through and through but no experience. Mind you, who else would want it?

We need a manager who understands the demands of lower-tier football - Lee Clarke?

Think we're getting ahead of ourselves. They havent sacked him yet and i dont see them doing it. Kean the unsackable. If relegation isnt in their thoughts, i'm certain Kean getting sacked isnt eaither. Doesnt he usually get a raise when he's perofrmed so well? I'm passed worrying about this season, i'm more worried about the double drop next season. Gutted

Cant see where the points are going to come from, relegation is a certainty. At the rate we are going, League One football is real possibility.
