Salgado ready for sunny climbs?

Rovers outcast Michel Salgado has been on the look out for a new club for sometime now and with lucrative offers from the mid and far east on the table he has his pick of the bunch to see out his playing days.

The popular Rovers right back has not been seen on the field in blue and white at all in 2012 after being told prior to Christmas that he was not allowed to play for financial reasons.

As a result he was told he was surplus to requirements and to look for a new club.

But despite the offers from elsewhere a more appealing move might be to the rather posh destination of Los Angeles.

LA Galazy are on the look out for another name signing after capturing the likes of David Beckham and Robbie Keane in recent times and Salgado fits the bill given his wonderful decade long career with Real Madrid and his days in the Premier League.

Several media outlets are reporting a 'source' (yes I know) as saying - "Michel felt he could have helped the team, but he was told before Christmas that he could not play. He was prepared to rip up his contract and agree to leave in the summer, but they said no."

"The club wanted him to go in January, but he didn`t want to uproot his children before the end of the school year. Now he is considering offers from the Middle East and Qatar."

Wherever Michel ends up he will always been an excellent influence about the place. I don't think anyone has a bad word to say about the chap?

Will be sad to see him go but it is beyond inevitable...
