'If It's Football, It's Vital'

"Bearded Warrior" a doubt for the Reebok

Rovers could be without the services of Gael Givet after the defender suffered an injury setback with a previous hamstring problem coming back to haunt him.

Givet has not been ruled out but he is rated a major doubt.

The good news is that Gael aside, the squad is pretty much good to go... except of course for the treatment room's favourite son Vince Grella.

Rovers boss Steve Kean told rovers.co.uk - 'We've only one slight problem from last week and that is that Gael Givet has irritated a hamstring injury that he's had previously so he's going to be touch and go.

'He was just warming up at half time on Tuesday and just felt a bit of a tightness so we'll see how that responds today.'

'Gael can obviously play at left back and centre back so that obviously leaves us a bit thin, but we'll adapt,' added Kean.

'I think Grant Hanley and Scott Dann are proving to be an excellent partnership at the moment. We always like to have competition for places so we hope Gael can shake off the injury but if not then Grant and Scott will play.

'I think the understanding that they've got really helps the fact that we've got back-to-back clean sheets and consistent play and confidence in the side.

'The back four and the goalkeeper are playing well at the moment.'

I've personally been impressed with Dann/Hanley the last few games so his absence (hopefully) won't cause too many problems...
