McCarthy Favourite For First Goal

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Who Will Score The First Rovers Goal This Season?" Not unanimous but Benni McCarthy pulled in the most votes.

38% of you see the South African hitman as the man most likely get Rovers' goalscoring exploits off the mark for 2006/2007. Morten Gamst Pedersen pulled in almost a quarter of the votes with 23%, followed closely by another new boy Jason Roberts on 21%.

David Bentley 5% and Steven Reid 6% are fairly even runners next in the stakes with the remaining 7% thinking the goal will come from someone else. Maybe Robbie Savage, a Ryan Nelsen header, possibly a Tugay belter or maybe even a towering Brad Friedel header!

So in summary
David Bentley - 5%%
Benni McCarthy - 38%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 23%
Steven Reid - 6%
Jason Roberts - 21%
Other - 7%

Due to the nature of the question asked this week the poll won't last a whole week as people could then vote after the even, so this weekend's poll asks "Will Lucas Neill follow Nelsen & Emerton's example and sign a new Contract?"

You only have until Sunday night, maybe early Monday to vote here so get to it!
