'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rovers at near full strength for Villa visit

Some rare good news for Rovers fans this afternoon with the match day squad announcement revealing a virtually fully fit squad to select from for tomorrow's home game with Aston Villa.

The Zonz is back fit after being benched with an illness, a real one not the fictional one which are actually contract issues and Dave Dunn also returns to the fold after a couple of games absent through injury.

Jason Lowe and Gael Givet both serve the last matches of their respective suspensions but other than that it's pick who you like stuff which is practically unheard of this season.

Kean told the official site - 'We've got most people back fit and well.'

'Martin Olsson has come back with a knock on his knee and his ankle. It is disappointing because we thought he was going to play 45 minutes but they (Sweden) kept him on for the 90 so that wasn't ideal.

'But we think he'll shake it off so he'll be okay.

'Steven has finished his course of antibiotics, he had a bit of tonsillitis last week and wasn't fully fit to play the whole game at City so he is fit and will now and has trained well all week.

'Dunny is also back in training and looking sharp, so that leaves us with just Vince Grella (Ed - I know, I'm in shock too) in the treatment room which is very good for this time of the season.'

Rovers can select from - Robinson, Orr, Dann, Hanley, Martin Olsson, Hoilett, Pedersen, Nzonzi, Petrovic, Marcus Olsson, Formica, Dunn, Yakubu, Bunn, Modeste, Rochina, Goodwillie, Vukcevic, Henley, Blackman, Morris.

It also helps that Villa are without Bent and Keane for tomorrow as well.

not to make as big a deal as england did this week over who is captain for a friendly game, but do we have a new one yet since Venky's got rid of both of ours?Really hope it ain't gonna be Robbo!

They haven't officially announced one but Robbo has been the stand in whilst Samba has been chucking his toys out! It'll between Dunny, Robbo and Givet I'd suspect.
