Johnson To Secure Wolves Move

Rovers have accepted a bid from Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers for American striker Jermal Johnson. Wolves boss Mick McCarthy would seemingly have seen all he needs from Johnson after only a few days on trial at Molineux.

Johnson played in a Wolves friendly on Tuesday night, so this and his effort in training seem to have convinced McCarthy the youngster is what he is looking for.

An undisclosed amounted has been accepted by Rovers. All that is needed is for Johnson to successfully come through a medical and agree terms.

I would have liked this to be only a loan, but I trust Hughes, as he was a quality striker himself he must have a fair idea of wot to look for!!
Clint
HE'S A TALENTED POSPECT, BUT LIKE YOU SAY HUGHES WAS ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE SO HE MUST HAVE MORE THAN A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT MAKES A TOP STRIKER ANYWAY. JOHNSON WOULD HAVE HAD A LOT OF COMPETITION WOULDN'T HE.
Hughes Da Man
He would have but would have liked him to stay but he's young and needs the chance to prove himself on reg basis. Blackburn have a lot of talent in the youth ranks and the wee lad Derbyshire could fit the bill soon.
