Nelsen Signs New Four-Year Contract

Fans favourite Ryan Nelsen has finally ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new long-term deal.

The impact Nelsen has made not only at Ewood Park, but also on the Premiership since his arrival on a free transfer from American Major League's DC United has been immense. The 28-year-old New Zealand International's form has been such that he has been subject to three bids from Portsmouth this summer, the last of which a reported £5 million offer.

Rovers can now look forward to the continued services of Nelsen for another four years at least.

this is very important news for Blackburn, to keep the backline together is a must if we are to challenge in the league and Euro, if Middlesboro can get through to the latter stages of UEFA Cup, then with a bit of luck then so can Blackburn as we are a better footballing side, just need the luck that 'Boro had
