Rovers overdue on Cracking Shaft payment

Rovers striker David Goodwillie has been an unexpected source of contention over the last few days with it emerging that Venky's have missed the date of their next transfer instalment for the former Dundee United striker.

With Rovers having missed the deadline earlier in the month the Scottish side have now contacted their governing body for assistance in reclaiming the cash with another payment due next week.

This looks like yet another indicator of Rovers financial troubles with no sign of a solution in sight.

The Courier Sport is reporting - 'Courier Sport understands United have asked Rovers for a date for the arrival of the money but have not yet received a satisfactory answer (what a surprise).

It was the lack of a firm timetable that prompted the Tangerines to contact the Scottish Premier League for assistance.

The SPL are now likely to get in touch with the English FA on their behalf, seeking a resolution to the matter.

While they await that outstanding payment, the next one looms large already as it is due on March 1.'

Maybe this is what the Samba cash will go towards?!

If we are struggling to pay up on "small" fee players like FantasticWang then I can't imagine the hassle Brum will have to go through to get all of the Dann money.

I thought we gave them an initial payment of £2million, which is why we landed him over Rangers? And cracking shaft? LMAO
