Indian side cancels Rovers trip

The Indian national football side have had to postpone their trip to Blackburn Rovers and have cited the problems at Ewood Park as reasoning for this.

The trip was lined up shortly after Rovers made their debut appearance over in Pune where owners Venky's are based but due to the current stagnation of the club and the dwindling interest that the Rao family seem to have in their football team at the present time, this has put pay to what amounts to a promotional visit.

It's probably not ideal as Rovers have the fight of their lives on to stay in the top flight.

"Blackburn have told us that this is not the right time to visit the club," the All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"They are going through some management problems at the moment."

The side have instead lined up a cheeky little visit to Dubai instead. Interesting... Blackburn first choice, Dubai second. Who'd have thought?

Another "not brilliant" sign!

Do the Venkys ever say anything brilliant or do anything that is good...
Marcus:)
lets face it what sort of crowd would that match have attracted? it would have made Ewood look like the JJB!

“They are going through some MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS at the moment.” Interesting choice of words?
Tombo1984
Agreed Tombo. Will this be something that comes out as "mistranslation"?
rossp2112
Everything they (Venky's) seem to say (and that's not much) comes across as a 'mistranslation'.
