Kean - Never Again

In the wake of Rovers disastrous 7-1 reverse at the Emirates on Saturday Steve Kean has insisted extra training measures will be put in place so that a humiliation of the same type is not felt again.

Rovers were abysmal in a horror show down in London and made Arsenal look like Barcelona with a performance devoid of any courage or fight.

Gael Givet was sent off, the defence and midfield were all over the place and there appeared to be no proper game plan enforced from the touchline.

All in all, a horrible day best forgotten about as soon as humanly possible.

'I have done enough talking. Now what we will do is get back on the training ground and will work ourselves through it,' Kean told Sky Sports.

'We will be speaking about the game, analysing it. We will be doing sessions to replicate if it happened again - those situations in wide areas where we need to be putting pressure on the ball and we need to be doubling up.

'We will go through it, every scenario, we will work ourselves through every goal and situation, so that it doesn't happen again.'

'We have not got may games left and we need to get to a position on points that is going to take us out of this zone we are in.'

The players, manager and owners all deserve a 33.33 recurring% share of the blame for that shambles of a performance. There is a lot of work to be done before the BIG game with QPR to repair the damage.

Each time Kean opens his mouth another gem 'pops' out. 24 games in and he's now realised that we need to start keeping a clean sheet in games. Is there any wonder he's not respected by the majority of Rovers fans as a manager of our once proud club. Why is it only now when its far too late and relegation is almost a certainty that special measures are being put into place.

Is it just me or is Kean starting to make sense....
Marcus:)
It's all stuff that Kean should have said and put in place many months ago, as many fans have been saying. Shocking.

We went down in 1999 with a star-studded team, one which was much much better than our present squad. Too good to go down? No chance? This club is destroyed beyond repair, within such a short span of time. Absolutely devastated..

kean knows now there's no way he would be sacked at this point, so there's less need to sugar-coat things...

@ Marcus - I think he talks less sense these days. Makes me wonder what he's actually been doing in training all this time. And Kean's done far too much talking - as he says - time to start walking Steve.

If Kean was going to go he'd have gone by now - I'd put money on him being here come June 2012...
