Still no Samba

Rovers head south this weekend to face Arsenal but do so without captain Chris Samba who is still 'unavailable' or as the Romans like to call it - throwing a hissy fit at not getting a transfer.

But the good news is that no-one has picked up any knocks from the rather demoralising loss to Newcastle on Wednesday night and added to the squad are new signings Bradley Orr and Marcus Olsson who are both fit and raring to go.

Kick off tomorrow is at 1pm and is a crunch game for both sides with Arsenal struggling for wins recently. Extra spice could be added when they are reminded of the last time Rovers played Arsenal - a rather incredible 4-3 win for the blue and white at Ewood Park.

Rovers squad for the trip is as follows - Robinson, Lowe, Dann, Givet, Martin Olsson, Pedersen, Petrovic, Nzonzi, Hoilett, Dunn, Modeste, Bunn, Formica, Orr, Rochina, Marcus Olsson, Goodwillie, Vukcevic, Hanley, Henley, Slew, Blackman.

Really needs to sort his head out and get on with it does Samba. Sounds like Cracking Shaft could be back as well which is a bonus...

Mikey, what I don't understand as a Spurs fan is why Nelson has been let go by your club to get fit and apparently goes straight into our squad for the Liverpool game on Monday. Was he not fit to play for you or was he too playing you up for a move. Was there more to this than meets the eye? Whats you view.

COYS R US...NelsEn played his first game in months in a behind closed doors match around the 30th or 31st...can't remember...Once you get to know the kind of guy he is you will realise there is no chance he was stamping his feet for a move. To Rovers fans the only strange thing going on is that Spurs wanted a 34 year old who hadn't played a proper game in months! Arry has always admired him but I think Nelsen is only going to replace Bassong on the bench..don't expect him in your 1st team a lot. He is well respected at Rovers and a lot of fans are gutted to be losing him. He is the perfect pro on and off the pitch.

Out for months at Rovers, suddenly Yesman released the 65k p/w Rovers captain for free, as instructed by 'Chicken Chop with curry' to slash the wage bill. Once released, a top 4 chasing club snapped him up, and he's ready for a place on the bench to make his debut. Doesn't this sounds fishy?

One of the best defenders we've had in had since won the title.
