Pivkovski departs Rovers on loan with a view...

Young Swedish striker Filip Pivkovski has been allowed to leave Blackburn Rovers today for Danish outfit 'FC Nordsjælland' on loan until the end of the 2011/12 Danish Superliga. However Vital Blackburn Rovers understands that the club have the option of picking up Pivkovski's contract at the end of the season.

It was revealed in a press release by the Danish club, that Pivkovski's had a autumn/winter trial at the club and impressed the staff at the club sufficiently to earn himself a extended spell at the club.

'Philip is an exciting player who we had a good knowledge in the autumn, when he was visiting us and we saw several times when he played in Malmo'. 'He is a striker with a good potential and we love working with and developing offensive players in FC North Zealand' - said Sports Director Jan Laursen.

Filip Pivkovski has joined with immediate effect. And will join the rest of the clubs U/20 squad.

Pivkovski is quoted as saying; 'I am very happy to be here. I have seen how the club works on and off the field, and I am very pleased to be part of from now on.' 'Now I have my focus on helping FCN for a good cause. I would not have come back to Scandinavia from England, if I had not seen and experienced how FCN working with young players.' 'I know I can improve myself here and that is why I have come.'

Shame to see him head out on loan. Weird one though - he's held in high regard!!

He is gone if he is any good, FCN develops a lot of young players in Denmark. They get the chance there, so don't except to see him back. We don't need a striker anyway, right ;-)
