Dunn hoping for new deal

Rovers midfielder and long serving local hero David Dunn is in talks to try and secure a new two year deal at Ewood Park.

Dunny has been at Blackburn Rovers collectively for almost ten years (with a spell at Birmingham providing the filling in a sandwich of two stays) and now wants to commit his future to the club.

The terms of the deal are not known but the club are set to offer Dunn a revised set of terms to help him stay at the club he supports longer.

It'll either happen pretty quickly this or it won't happen at all.

Good to see someone wanting to extend their stay at Ewood... Dunn has still got something to give as recent performances have confirmed.

If he can sustain the level of performance over the past few games then OK.....if we go down he will stick with us and will be decent in the Championship.

It would be great to see Dunn finish his career at Rovers - he has become a bit slower, his injuries have meant he can't usually last 90 mins but he is always 100% committed to the cause.

Not a bad idea. Found his home as a second striker where he doesn't need to put in too much of a shift. We need experienced players around the place to help the young un's.
