Black finally confirmed as Rovers assistant boss

Black finally confirmed as Rovers assistant boss

Rovers have their third assistant manager of the season after the appointment of Eric Black a short while ago.

The new assistant brings with him a wealth of experience and will be on the bench tomorrow to take part in coaching duties for the first time.

Steve Kean told the official Rovers site - 'I am delighted that Eric has agreed to come on board. He is someone with extensive coaching experience at the highest level and I feel sure he will play a key role over the coming months.'

A fairly hefty hold up as he was expected to be appointed yesterday but then 'hold up' and 'Blackburn Rovers' seem to be a married couple at the moment.

Welcome aboard the Rovers rollercoaster Eric!

I think Black is a decent enough appointment. But then getting Clement - good enough for Chelsea and PSG - hardly turned our season on its head, did it? I'm pleased we've got a proper assistant manager in, but it'll take a damn sight more to keep us in the Prem.
