'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rovers have been busy

Rovers are set to bolster their forward ranks with the loan signing of Bordeaux forward Anthony Modeste.

Rumour was abound earlier in the week that Steve Kean was after a new forward and Modeste seems to have fit the profile as his signing is low risk and more importantly, cheap.

Bordeaux themselves have announced the signing which does still need a medical and some paperwork to be completed but these are expected to be formalities... but then this is Blackburn Rovers 2012 we are talking about.

Bordeaux's official website is reporting - 'The striker was loaned for the next 6 months to Blackburn Rovers, subject to the medical and the signing of paperwork.

'This loan is not accompanied by a purchase option. Anthony will discover new football and help maintain its operation in Blackburn.'

Wow a straightforward and very clear statement on a club website, remember them?
