Black to be confirmed as Rovers assistant boss

Black to be confirmed as Rovers assistant boss

Rovers are set to acquire their new assistant manager today with the hiring of Eric Black to be announced at a press conference this afternoon.

Black comes with a good pedigree having been around the block more than once in his days and will provide experience in the role vacated by the undertaker look-a-like Paul Clement a few weeks back.

The BBC are reporting - 'Eric Black will be confirmed as Steve Kean's new assistant head coach at Blackburn at a press conference on Thursday.

Black, who worked with Steve Bruce at Sunderland, replaces Paul Clement who left Ewood Park to join Paris Saint-Germain last week.

The 48-year-old previously held a similar position at Celtic and Birmingham City, again with Bruce.'

Certainly not as romantic an appointment as a Colin Hendry or a Tugay would have been but certainly a more well rounded one.
