Morten Gamst Pedersen- 300 Appearances!

Whilst Blackburn Rovers beat Fulham 3-1 to climb out of the relegation zone, one of our very own achieved a mile stone which many can only aspire to

Since signing for Blackburn in 2004 from Norwegian outfit Tromso IL, Morten Gamst Pedersen has become somewhat of an enigma at Ewood Park. A 1.5 million pound initial transfer fee has more than been repaid, with Morten claiming his 300th cap with a delightful free kick to send Blackburn on their way to victory.

Whilst not every bodies cup of tea, Morten Gamst Pedersen's ability cannot be questioned. A fantastic left foot has created many, many opportunities over the years, with 60 assists and 45 goals from the wide man. His versatility has been shown over recent years, filling in at central midfield as well as left back, showing he is just as effective in defence as he is in attack.

Add to that 71 International Caps, Morten Gamst Pedersen has achieved more than what most can dream of. To top it all off, Morten has even been in the hot seat with yours truly, not once but twice, answering several questions exclusively for Vital Blackburn in our Getting to Know Segment.

Hopefully their are a few more wonder strikes to come from our resident Norwegian.

Stay in touch with Morten Gamst Pedersen via his Website,

From all of us here at Vital Blackburn, Congratulations Morten and best wishes for the near future!

Not many last/stay long enough at a club these days to make it to 300, so well done Morten. He's had as many poor games as good ones but no doubt he's Rovers through and through.
