'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The mystery of Robbo's new injury

Rovers are again feeling the injury bug bite with news coming from the club that Paul Robinson is struggling with a leg injury ahead of our trip to Liverpool on Boxing Day.

The strange element of this latest injury tale though is that during yesterday's Brockhall protests Robinson was seen to be taking a full part in the session and even spared the protesters a thumbs up during the training regime.

Add into the mix that there is also a rumour going round that Robinson has infact had a bust up with boss Steve Kean over a footballing matter and the two may even be intertwined.

Manager Steve Kean told Rovers.co.uk - 'Paul has been playing in a bit of discomfort through the last few games, but whether we will be able to strap him up again is to be decided.

'It's another injury blow in the defensive area of the squad and we aren't likely to have any of the other injured defenders back in contention for Monday.'

We can't confirm that these two matters are linked together or even that the bust up rumour has foundation but it does seem very suspicious.

Luckily Mark Bunn is capable otherwise this could have been a death knell!!

It does sound a little odd after he gave the thumbs up to protesters. I wish one of the players would give Kean a good slagging off, it would speed up the process of issuing his P45 a little.
Rye_of_the_Rovers
Maybe he has the same non-injury as Michel Salgado?

Solid enough performer is Bunn! What's wrong with him? And no I'm not on drugs and there is no need to swear!!

Robbo's the reason you've stayed up for the past 2 seasons, you'll be lost without him

Bunn's okay. There's nowt wrong with him as a keeper, but he isn't Robbo. And behind a makeshift back four, he's just not what's needed right now.
