Salgado breaks rank on Kean and Venky's

Rovers defender Michel Salgado has spoken out against the club as pressure builds on Steve Kean and owners Venky's.

Salgado claimed last night that he is fit and ready to play for the side but is being prevented from doing so because the club can't afford to offer him a new deal.

The Real Madrid legend has a clause in his contract which means if he plays 9 more games for Blackburn Rovers he is entitled to a contract extension which may be preying on the owners minds with Steve Kean earlier this week admitting that Salgado wouldn't be at Ewood Park next season.

But Michel has spoken out on the matter and has now likely played his last game under Kean's tenure.

'I want the fans to know all I want to do is help the team and help Blackburn survive in the Premier League, but the owners and manager aren't allowing me to do this,' Salgado told Sky Sports News.

'I'm fit to play but I have been given five days off instead.'

Listening to the club's response on this matter will be absolutely fascinating.

So he's not really injured then?!

We're utterly doomed

It's a joke really. Lowe is playing well at RB however i think he is needed in CM. Sally struggles against pace, but Bolton don't have a lennon/bale. We could of done with his experience in a backline thats going to consist of Samba, a scottish pile of garbage and Norwegian softlad.

But the problem is Venkys don't want to use money on the club at all it seems!!!

it's heart breaking to see venky's destroying the club every min

Salgado - and the other players for that matter - are ripping themselves apart for the club. The owners need to sell NOW - because this is never going to work. To use an american expression Venkys are trying to "nickle and dime" their way through the EPL, which as we all can see is a short cut to the Championship. If/when Kean gets sacked it seems they wont be looking to any big time managers - just someone who will take a low pay and give Venkys final say on transfers in/out.

Salgado is fricking useless, and he should be grateful your lot took him on when he was already a busted flush, and is part of the reason for your position. He's jumping on the populist bandwagon, and should be shown the door. 'Salgado chants?'...dear oh dear.

....and I really hope your club stays up. The treatment it has suffered from the media in general has been nothing short of disgusting. Of course fans who pay their hard-earned should criticise whenever they want to, but from a neutral point of view, your owners were always in my good books when they got rid of the odious slug Allardyce (why did he never sue the BBC by the way-perhaps retribution takes time), and also when they eschewed the greed of clubs and had a charity on the shirt. All of which has been conveniently ignored by pundits, press, TV and radio. Never mind Suarez, the ignorant attack on the Venkys has been the greatest racial slur of the season.
