Kean apparently willing to meet the fans

Rovers manager Steve Kean has let the Blackburn fans know that he would be willing to meet with them - if it helped the situation currently engulfing the club.

Communication between club and fans has been a major sticking point at Ewood Park over the last year with fans raising concerns that the relationship between the owners and the fanbase is non-existant.

But the under fire Rovers boss has conceded that he would be happy to meet with fans if he was told by his superiors that it would be a good thing.

The Rovers boss told the Daily Mail - "I care about what the fans think. If it`s worthwhile and about the football side of things then yes, I`m willing to meet them.

"I don`t know if it will help. I`ll take direction from the directors and if they think it`s the right thing to do then I`m available."

We have heard this promise from the manager before I must stress and it didn't come to fruition then... So the now famous 'I'll believe it when I see it' phrase we are hearing a lot of nowadays comes into play here.

You've talked the talk Kean let's see you walk the walk.

Can we realistically expect this to happen without it being controlled by the club who he meets?

Seeing Steve Kean will now meet disgruntled fans we need to stress to him that the VENKY's need to start communicating their long term thoughts for the club, and where they see us in 5 years time. It'd be good if he could 'drag' one of them along to the meeting as well, seeing he seems to be the only person they will talk to !! This should not just end up as a Anti-Kean bashing meeting as much as most would want it to be. Concentrate on football matters, and get Venky's there to talk about Club matters.

Ah, the devil in the detail - he will meet if the owners say he should... he will meet if it will help footballing matters... in other words he won't meet the fans because Venky's won't tell him to, and he thinks he knows what to do to win - stop conceeding goals!

Mmm where I have I heard this before, I have been trying for months to get him to meet supporters and to date they have refused the request, I can't see what it would achieve now tbh, as the damage in the league table has already been done
