Rovers on the Johnson contract case?

Rovers on the Johnson contract case?

Rovers have been sweating so much over their own contract rebel in Junior Hoilett that it is easy to forget that their are other clubs putting up with similar annoying situations.

Over at Fulham they have their own contract stand off - this time involving ex-Everton and Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson.

Johnson is out of contract in the summer and has yet to sign a new deal to commit himself to the Craven cause.

And it seems Rovers have clocked this and are contemplating making a cheeky, cut price bid when the January window opens as an alternative to the Vedad Ibisevic bid mooted last week.

The Daily Mail is reporting - 'Sportsmail revealed Blackburn's interest earlier this month (bit of gloating to start with, nice guys) and, although Martin Jol says Johnson is not for sale, a £2million bid may be enough for a player who will be free in the summer.'

For £2m it could be a great buy...however why would he leave Fulham for Rovers? It doesn't make sense. Unless he knows Jerome Anderson of course, his wife needs a new Ferrari so he needs to broker a deal for us.

He still has goals in him, but not sure if he is the man to keep us up.

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
