Nedum Onuoha back on the radar

Another morning and still the papers are keen to build up to the January transfer window with full speed.

Even though the window is a good two months away the speculation is building and a name is back in the frame that most Rovers fans were fully behind signing back in July/August.

Nedum Onuoha of Manchester City, a long time target of the club and a man currently doing the rough square root of bugger all at Manchester City is again on 'the list' to be added to the Rovers squad.

Onuoha was subject to a bid for a permanent transfer back in the summer but after submitting a bid it was reported that City didn't even get back to Rovers with an answer (probably to busy spending the cash/winding up the Surrey Reds)but this time a loan with a view to buy move looks favourable.

The major bonus of signing someone like Onuoha other than the fact he is criminally underrated is that he can play right back - an area of weakness in the Blackburn squad.

The choices for that position at present are the capable but out of position Jason Lowe and the brutally hard but brutally slow Michel Salgado.

Bring him in I say.

Was dissapointed we didn't land him in the summer, hopefully a loan deal with a view will happen.

Hope this happens, should have snapped him up in August after our defensive woes.
