Kean plans for the future

Rovers boss Steve Kean must be confident of keeping his job.

Despite being second from bottom and five points away from safety the gaffer is already planning for January and the transfer window with agent meetings high on the list of future activity.

Putting poor form and a pretty shoddy run of results to one side the manager has always had very consistent backing from the Rao family over in India, so much so that Kean has seemed untouchable when other owners at other clubs would have got rid a fair while back.

But that has not deterred Kean who is cracking on.

The Daily Mirror is reporting - 'Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is planning to be in charge next year - by lining up a series of meetings with agents this week.

Kean has invited a handful of wheeler-dealers to see him about potential signings in the January window as he looks long-term despite calls for his head.

Rovers could go rock bottom if they lose the relegation summit with Wigan in their next game, but Kean believes he will be around for longer.'

Yes, don't we know it chaps.

I have to give him some credit - the man can't half take some flak!

I can envisage in 2 years time Kean coming out with a "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"
wakko-
Nothing wrong with him looking to the future IMO, after all he is STILL the Manager, I just hope that come January we have not alreay been cut adrift and if we have that Kean is still not steering the ship

If he turns a corner he will probably be a formidable manager with his single minded self-belief - but notice my use of the word 'if'... and i use that with a little commitment as I can!
