'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Andrews verbally ends Rovers career

Keith Andrews has made his feelings clear on Blackburn Rovers by admitting that he can't see himself at the club ever again.

Andrews left the club in the summer on an initial 6 months loan deal to Championship side Ipswich after being hounded out by booing fans and erratic form.

But the man known rather amusingly as 'Jogger Double Facepalm' has enjoyed a new lease of life in the Championship and wants to extend his stay at the club rather than return to his former hunting ground.

And as for Rovers, well...

Keith told the Green'Un24 publication - 'I can't envisage myself going back to Blackburn in any way, shape or form. I know I have 18 months left on my contract but I really don't want to be there.

'I have come here, enjoyed it and had a new lease of life. I would imagine the chances of me staying are good. I am sure it is something that will get done.'

I can see no reason from both sides of the coin for his return. Some like him, some think he's pretty terrible, he's moved on.

Best thing all round. Good luck to him & silly money off our wage bill.

Can't blame him really, let him go for a small fee in January and use the money for Kean's severance pay...result!

A loss of a good player in my opinion

A better player than most fans realise, he will do well in the Championship at a club where the fans don't behave as badly towards him as many of ours have done. (Often they did not even give him a chance, jeering him as soon as he set foot on the pitch) He could be back at Ewood next season, playing for a newly promoted club, showing those fans that he is not as bad a footballer as they made him while he was with us.

No. I disagree with that, the PL passed Andrews by, he was made to look poor. Therefore, he was a poor PL player. However, most people would have agreed that he would be a good championship player and that is being proved. He should stay in that league as the PL will pull him apart again. If we're fortunate enough to still be in the PL, he may have a decent game against us just to prove a point but he will be a weak link for the rest of the games. Sadly, there is a good chance that we'll be playing against him in the championship.
