'If It's Football, It's Vital'

He won't be Low-e after this new deal

Rovers up and comer Jason Lowe has signed a new deal to tie himself to Ewood Park for five more years.

Fresh off breaking into the first team this season and carving himself out a spot as a steady eddy in both central midfield and particularly in an unfamiliar right back slot this was the next step in sorting out the England Under 21 man's future.

Lowe told Rovers.co.uk - 'A couple of weeks ago an offer was put to me and now I'm glad it is all sorted'

'It is something I've been working towards and I'm just glad I've signed it off and delighted to be here long term and can now concentrate on my football here.

'I've been here a long time, delighted to have signed a contract and now I just want to work as hard as I can.

'I arrived here as an under 11 so it has been a long time and hopefully there'll be more yet, so I'm looking forward to it.'

I think we can all say it's been well deserved. Give Junior a nudge whilst your over there Jason ;)

A reminder for us that we do have a thriving academy with Hoilett, Olsson, Jones and now Lowe coming through.

Good news - but it doesn't half show up the Hoilett debacle once again.
