'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dann feels Samba partnership is growing

Rovers centre back Scott Dann feels that his central defence partnership with captain Chris Samba is finally gelling after something of a difficult start to life at Ewood Park.

Rovers as a unit have been shipping goals at an alarming rate in previous games but promising signs emerged from the 1-1 draw with QPR at the weekend and despite falling short of the hype surrounding the pair Scotty feels the pair may yet get too hotty.

Dann told Blackburn's official website - 'The more me and Chris play together, the better we are going to get.

'When you start playing with a new defensive partner, you do have to learn about the way they play and that does take a little bit of time.'

Dann admitted to enjoying his short spell at Rovers so far and feels the players have in hand the current slide and knows what's needed to arrest it.

'I am really enjoying myself here and hopefully we can start creeping up the table sooner rather than later.

'We know what we need to do to put things right.'

Rare for Dann to come out and speak but with players like him about there is always hope...

Remember he had months out injured before he came to Rovers. Quality partnerships always take time to form - at the back, in the middle or up front - so hopefully we'll start seeing something good coming together pretty soon. Of course, if we'd signed him earlier in the summer, they'd've had the chance to get to know each other in pre-season!

I agree with wha he is saying - but lets not forget that QPR's finishing meant that defending wasn't always required!
