Rochina admits early hardships

Rochina admits early hardships

Ruben Rochina has been in England for just under a year now but has said very little about his thoughts on moving from Spain to Blackburn... until now.

The young starlet gave a brief interview to goal.com about his time at Ewood Park (he did also talk about Barcelona but we don't care about them ;)).

Rochina told Goal.com - "The most important thing is that I am in a professional team in the Premier League. I like the Premier League.

The first and second months were not easy because I didn`t speak English. I needed a translator. And because I was two months out [injured] in Barcelona, I didn't play anything'

"It`s difficult for me in England because when I came here I was not fit. When I came to England I needed more training. I needed different things and it`s not easy for me. But now it`s all good.'

Other good news about Rochina is provided in the news that the clause in his contract where by Barcelona could have bought him back for afixed fee has expired.

Which means he is now a Rover on a fixed term deal until 2015 or until we find out he has a minimum fee release clause in his deal that allows Manchester United to move in and steal him.

Good to see Rochina is adjusting - I think he'll prove to be a top buy in a few years time.

I really does hope he comes good. He's got the ability - he just needs to adapt to the workrate required of a Prem player and learn to cover back.

"A few years time!!" He is as good now as any player we have at scoring goals. Needs to be given a run of starts so that 'Rochina rockets' can start moving us up the table.

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
