'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rao's hand out Kean warning

Rovers manager Steve Kean and the Rovers players have been told results have to get better.

After the 'brilliant manager' delusional ramblings of Balaji Rao on Friday evening talk turned a little bit more serious when co-owner Venkatesh Rao had his go to explain the behind closed doors meeting that took place during the recent trip to India.

Venkatesh Rao told Sky Sports - 'Believe me, it was frank and straight and we need results.'

'Everyone is looking forward - from the players to the manager to the owners.

'I am positive. The luck didn't go for us in the first two games and then we had a wonderful win (against Arsenal) before we were sliding down.

'Now after this meeting and the team coming especially to India, they have had a refreshing time, and I think they will go with a positive note after this meeting.'

Rao wasn't as shy as his brother in admitting the concern over results and performances but pledged to improve and give the fans something to smile about.

Rao added - 'I would like to assure the fans we are very much concerned about the situation.

'It is really painful, I know that. It is painful for the owners with what is happening.

'I would like to be honest - we will show some results and we will produce some results and make our fans happy.'

Saying this just to appease fans or genuine in meaning it??

If I were Kean I'd walk. This kind of grief isn't worth it.

Mikey, i have read the full transcript by Venkatesh Rao. It does not warn Kean in any way shape or form. It is more a open statement. Unfortunately. Hence my latest article mate.

I am just going off the translations presented on Sky Sports etc! Like the rant though ;)

OUCH. Simply more pr BULLSHTE and absolutely no substance at all. Believe me, fans from all clubs are concerned for you right now! Sounded more like a PR ad for Prem teams to holiday in India than anything even related to football!

Reason why Kean wouldn't quit : He probably be managing FC Pune as i can't imagine any prem or champ clubs hiring him, if he quit Rovers. Venkys are the reason why he's Rovers boss today. If we go down, Venkys are the main culprits. Even with no takeover, no transfer funds, we had a shrewd & experienced manager to guide us to safety season after season. There was no threat of relegation, but after investment by some clown owners, hiring some clown manager, may just be enough to send us down. The 19 prem teams won't be able to send us down, our owners will send us down.

I could be wrong, but if he quits he won't get a payout- after that lovely contract extension, surely he'd hold on until fired
