'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Samba asks for fan calm

Rovers captain Chris Samba has called for calm in the Rovers rank and has reassured fans that there is no need to press that rather tempting panic button.

Samba has backed up club captain Ryan Nelsen by praising the trip and lauding the pressure relief of a trip abroad.

Samba spoke to Sportal in India - 'The message to the fans is there is nothing to feel alarmed [about].

'We have a lot of time to turn it around. It`s good that all the players come here together to find a little bit of togetherness, stay together and try to solve the problem - a bit away from all this press and all this pressure.'

Despite something of a fan revolt Samba is confident that the lads will improve and gel together in time.

With the number of young players in the squad the Kongmeister feels that they have just been slow out of the traps.

Samba added - 'This is not the first time we had a difficult start. We have new players coming in and they need to take to the pace of the game'

'For the young players, it is difficult to adapt to the pace of a Premier League team and show their great quality. As a young player, it's just a question of time to put everything right, to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and start climbing the table.'

Samba was then questioned about his potential move in the summer with Arsenal and Spurs both linked to his services.

Samba continued - 'As you said, I was linked to several clubs but at the end of the day, I remain at the club. So it's not the matter of other clubs any more. It's about what we can do to improve the team,'

Don't think our so called captain who wanted to jump ship will stop the protest we will fight until Kean is gone

the club would only sink deeper if we have this attitude of having plenty of time...i am sure the players know the team has just been subpar...it'll be interesting to see how much longer the players could remain to appear united on the facade...
