Rovers have touched down in India for their international break trip to Pune and it all looks very fancy and cultural over in Asia.
But Steve Kean is in for something of a showdown with Rovers bosses Venky's after a poor run of form that leaves Rovers in 19th spot in the Premier League table and with fans in revolt.
As a result the Rao family have called a meeting with the Blackburn boss after finally realising that the Scottish manager is not as good at his job as they first thought.
Co-owner Venkatesh Rao told the Lancashire Telegraph - "'We are going to sit down over the next week and have a very big discussion over this.
'I have spoken with Steve and we are working on our weak points.
'And I am sure we are going into the depth of it. Believe me, myself, my sister, my brother, all of us, are going to sit and have a long chat and come out with some plan of action.
"'We want to see this club running successfully at any cost - whether the value is by time, money, expressions or feelings."
Kean himself is still sticking to his guns and certainly doesn't sound like a man who is about to lose his job.
He has even backed the trip as a positive idea which comes as a shock to precisely nobody who has paid any attention over the last six months or so.
Kean added - "Obviously we didn't think we would be in this position when we arranged it, but it is still a good opportunity to go out there and to train in a different environment. To be really close with all the lads left here, could be a really good thing because at times like this, you want to stick together.
'There are going to be times when we will be in a confined space with each other and I think that can be a positive thing for us.
"'It's not a rest. It's going to be a good time because most of the players are going to be together for five or six days and I think that will be really good.
'If there wasn't a trip like this and we were only at the training ground, this is better because we're going to have evenings together. We're going to have coaching sessions in the afternoon and I think this trip has come at the perfect time.'
Sounds like he'll escape the axe... but for how long??
