Good Deed Brings Smiles to 2 Aussie Rovers!

Good Deed Brings Smiles to 2 Aussie Rovers!

6 weeks ago, fellow Aussie VBER, Scotty4Aus shot through an email to our Rovers online Store. The email asked the store attendants how much it would cost to purchase a signed Blackburn Rovers jersey, and have it shipped over to Australia.

Whilst doing this, Scott also thought, hey, how about I asked every Premier League Club the same question, and if it fell within the budget, I could have a collection of 20 signed Premier League Jerseys hanging up at home, as well as my beloved Jamie Soward Number 6 St George Jersey and NSW Rugby League Origin Jersey (Scott will kill me now...)

Rovers were first to reply, a Ms McDowell on the ball. She recommended to wait just until after deadline day so the jerseys could have the signatures of the new lads. Surprisingly, Ms McDowell also said that she would not charge anything extra, due to Scott being a loyal overseas based supporter, just purchase the jersey through the online store and she would organise the rest. Meanwhile, in the better part of Australia, Sasman sniffed something was on, and after avoiding Scott for a week, finally contacted his interstate buddy and was informed of what was happening. So suddenly, Ms McDowell was dealing with 2 crazy Aussie Rovers supporters!

The transfer window drew to a close, and our Aussies made contact with Ms McDowell, placed through the orders, and off the jerseys went, to be signed and sent to Australia.

As for the other 19 clubs, only QPR responded, and they had a 140 pound price tag on a signed jersey. The other 18, well, shame on you if that is how you would treat your supporters.

So a massive, massive thank you to Ms McDowell and her team at the office. Sasman and Scotty4Aus now both have signed Blackburn Rovers Jerseys. From what I can see

Petrovic, Vukcevic, Hanley,Blackman, 'Gato' Formica and Steve Kean's signatures, as well a few others who I just cant make out. Feel free to check out our facebook or twitter (Sasman1987)(Scottelawrence4) and help us out name the other Rovers!

seriously when are we going to releave steve kean from his duties, today was the worst home defeat we've had for 3 years, the worst start to a premier league season ever... if venkys dont act soon no1 will want to come to us, no1 will want to stay with us, and relegation will become more and more likely..
