John Jensen packs his bags

John Jensen has this morning left his position of assistant manager at Ewood Park.

Jensen has been at Rovers less than a year and reasons for his sudden departure are at this stage unknown.

A short statement on Rovers official website says - 'John Jensen is to leave his position as assistant manager with Blackburn Rovers.

The club would like to thank John for his efforts over the past nine months and offer him best wishes for the future.'

Steve Kean now needs to find himself a new right hand man.

Hmmm... interesting.

In Denmark Faxe always says what he means, so he could have said his real opinion to Kean about something, and then got the shown the door.....cheers

I think the size of the statement says it all, this does not look like it was an amicable parting of the ways.. truth is we will never know whether he was part of the problem or was shipped out for trying to solve them

Don't think he'll be missed much but there is a stunned silence as to what comes next as he was up to a point a big fan of Steve Kean...

Clearly paving the way for Tugay to come in as assistant ;). Now we just need to see a statement saying Kean has left!

If the owners have any logic they will take this uncertainty to remove Kean... Can't see it being anymore then a way to extend Kean's stay though.

What an absolute shambles. 2 days before the Man City game (a potentially ass-whooping for us btw) and they get rid of the Assistant. They had better get someone in sharpish, bunch of f****** jokers

Strange timing, and if this galvanises Keans position, God help up

Very odd, how brief was that statement?? I'm thinking there could either be an experienced no.2 to come in to support Kean, ie like Venables was at Boro or Kean could step aside and maybe take up the coaching role and be replaced by a new manager.

interesting development. there are certainly contentious moments behind close doors...JJ department makes me believe kean would still have some time here...

No idea what to make of this. A lot will depend on who comes in.
