Rovers agree £5m fee for Scott Dann

Rovers agree £5m fee for Scott Dann

Earlier this evening Sky Sports reported Blackburn Rovers interest in Scott Dann of Birmingham City.

Rovers are now reported to have had a £5 million bid accepted for the player and will now enter into contract negotiations later on today.

Dann is looking to leave Birmingham this window after their relegation from the Premier League.

The central defender has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, Stoke and QPR this window with the latter possibly looking at lodging a bid themselves.

£5 million is a great deal. Hope it comes off.

if this move breaks down then we are a joke. We need him so should be prepared to offer him good enough money.

I can't help but feel that he is a samba replacement rather than a jones replacement, I hope I'm wrong.

If we can pull this off and keep Samba fair play, needs finalising today though so we can move on and sign a much needed striker. £5M is a steal, could be just the signing we need!

Potentially a great deal - so long as he is to play alongside Samba, not instead of him.
