Rovers pull out of ANOTHER deal

Rovers are facing a last minute transfer scramble after pulling out of their second transfer deal in 24 hours.

Vedad Ibisevic will not be coming to the club after owners Venky's expressed concerns over the players injury.

The Daily Mirror is reporting - 'The Hoffenheim forward was due to join before the deadline but Rovers pulled out over worries about when he`ll be fully fit. Bosnian Ibisevic could not come for a medical as he failed to get a visa. And Rovers pulled back despite plans to fly to Germany to test his thigh strain at his current club.

Kean had teed up the Ibisevic move for weeks - with the deal structured in a way that came within his budget.

Rovers were due to pay £3.5million up front, with extras in installments. Kean may now go back for Ajax`s Moroccan striker Mounir El-Hamdaoui. However French side Lille are in for him now.'

Rovers are also being linked to Everton's Jermaine Beckford.

Sweet. If he's half as good as Alfonso Alves and Mataja Kezman we'll be in business.

I don't think we will sign anybody now. It takes us 2 days to do a medical and no sod at the club knows how to get a move on so we're screwed. My optimism has slowly been replaced by skepticism lately.

We CANNOT go through this window without signing at least one defender and a front man. This is terrible news. Whether Ibisevic was the right player for us, we'll never know. What we do know is that what we've got is simply not good enough.

It seems the Board are more interested in loan deals where the salaries can be covered by the savings made with the departures we've had. If loan deals don't come off, Kean and Co. are unfortunately going to be the laughing stock of the EPL with every right to be. Heres hoping i'm wrong....
