George John deal stalls

George John deal stalls

Rovers must have another trick up their sleeve after it has come to light that their move for Dallas FC's George John has broken down.

John was expected to complete his move this week but for reasons not yet know the deal has not been finalised and John will return to America.

FC Dallas president and CEO Doug Quinn said - 'Despite mutual interest, Blackburn Rovers and George John have decided not to enter into a contract, Blackburn had significant interest in acquiring George.

'However, for the time being, they decided not to finalize the deal. We are excited to have a player of George's caliber back at FC Dallas.'

Another iron in the fire maybe?

There's going to have to be another iron in the fire - we're far, far too thin at the back to cope for a season without someone coming in! Onuhoa? Please?

Has to be Onuoha or Dann otherwise it's not looking too clever for us atm.

I hope that I am not being naive or overly-optimistic in thinking that this must be a sign of someone better being signed.

Danny would be a great coup but can't see it happening myself.
