Petrovic wants to get in amongst the goals

Rovers have relied on goals from midfield a bit too much in recent times with Junior Hoilett, Dave Dunn and Morten Gamst Pedersen helping out in recent seasons with the strikers struggling.

The aim is to add one more to that list in the shape of new signing Radosav Petrovic.

The new boy has a reputation from his Partizan days for contributing the odd goal from midfield and he hopes that trend continues with Rovers.

Petrovic told the Lancashire Telegraph - "I want to but we will see (play against Villa).

"Everybody knows that Blackburn Rovers is a very big club with a very big history and I`m very happy to be here.

"Everybody knows that the Premier League is the best in the world and every little boy`s dream is to play in the Premier League.

"I want to play in Blackburn and win in every match if it`s possible.

"I play in the centre and last year scored 10 goals.

"In Blackburn I want to score five or six goals."
