Transfer 3- Bruno Ribeiro!

Blackburn Rovers have just confirmed the signing of free agent, Bruno Ribeiro

Name:Bruno de Paula Ribeiro Ingracia
DOB: April 1, 1983
Position: Right Back
Place of Birth: Tupa, Brazil
Height: 5ft 7inch, (1.71m)

Career

Mystery surrounds exactly how Blackburn Rovers have come across this Brazilian Right Back. Bruno Ribeiro joined Blackburn after being released from Brazilian outfit, Gremio Barueri Futbol. Ribeiro made 67 appearances in 3 seasons, notching up a solitary goal.

Prior to this, he appeared for no less then 3 different clubs, including 3 stints at Marila, a club located within Sao Paulo.

After a month long trial, Bruno impressed Steve Kean, earning a 3 season contract with an option of a seasons extension.

Thats all I can find on the lad, so welcome aboard!

Looks solid enough that is for sure, surely he can do no harm on a free???

Yep - I doubt his wages are too big and as I said in the forum - give the lad a chance!
fransavarese
still an odd signing, especially with him being 28 yrs old and only had experience in brazil

He will do a job if salgado gets injured, other than that just a squad player for sure.
Red_Ice
the older they are the more experience they have Dommy and it doesn't matter what league your use ta when your playing in defence mate

Can't really judge the geezer until i see him play but nevertheless the little spaniard with a girl's name is knocking on a bit and deserves a breather every once in a while. Hope Bruno proves to be a shrewd signing.
ITSALLROVER
It's a very competitive league the Brazilian league....he was relegated from the "Serie A" with Gremio Barueri Futbol but still free transfer and we do need someone to play right back if Salgado gets injured or suspended
sjgee
Did he also play for Real madrid and Leeds ???
