Kalinic and Jogger on the way out of Ewood

Rovers are busy trimming their squad whilst actively trying to add to it with two fringe players set to leave Ewood Park in the next few hours.

The club have confirmed that Niko Kalinic is set to complete his protracted switch to Ukranian side Dnipro in due course.

Further to that, fan favourite (cough cough) Keith Andrews is set to move a slightly lesser distance to the exotic delights of Ipswich, initially on loan.

Kean told Rovers Official Website - 'Niko Kalinic's transfer is just about to be completed in the Ukraine, whilst Keith Andrews has had four or five other clubs chasing him, which is no surprise (ed - what?).

'So I think that one will also be done and dusted today where Keith will go on a loan basis to Ipswich start with, it is a loan with a view to purchasing him.

'I think Keith will do well, they've obviously had a very good start.

'We wish them all the best this coming season.'

I always thought it would of been good to hold onto kalinic, at least until we had an extra striker on board to replace him.
Red_Ice
a striker or two, new centre back...or two depending if Samba leaves....I'm happy that both exits have been finalised I think Kalinic has left for £6 Million? hopefully that will be invested into some more players!
sjgee
credit to Kean on this one. Gotta say I'm sadder to see Andrews go than Kalinic - at least he could stay on his feet.
Desert Kiwi

We are or have lost a lot of players from our squad - and only brought in 2 new players (so far). If we get a few injuries we will be screwed.
Freidelno.1
Tragic to see Niko go. Real shame that whatever it was couldn't be worked out. Good luck to him in the Ukraine.

We have a few strikers at Spurs, please feel free to dip in! Also question for you Rovers regarding Samba, does he play on the right or left side of centre-back usually?

I wish em both the best of luck, i think Jogger will be well equpped for the Championship and Niko could become a top player. Only time will tell.
ITSALLROVER
