Vital Blackburn - The Player of the Season

Vital Blackburn - The Player of the Season

To round off this season's voting in the Vital Blackburn End of Season Awards we end with the big player accolade - the player of the 2010/11 season.

With votes flying round left, right and centre between VBers it became a hotly contested award.

Martin Olsson, Phil Jones, Michel Salgado, Junior Hoilett and Chris Samba all registered serious interest in the voting but the winner eventually triumphed by one vote.

Despite the efforts of the outfield players, the winner of the Vital Blackburn Player of the Season is... Paul Robinson.

Robbo has once again improved from the season prior and has often won us points with his solid displays between the sticks.

Congratulations to Paul, a thoroughly deserved triumph.

And finally, a big thank you for all who took part in this season's VB Awards, it was a great success as usual thanks to you guys.

Solid and consistent all season long. Well deserved, especially given the low point he came back from when he left Spurs.

Well deserved indeed, Glad and surprised we hasn't really been involved in many trade rumors over the offseason
