Ribeiro expected to complete move

Rovers are going to be completing their next pre-season signing in the next 24 hours with news that Bruno Ribeiro will complete his transfer to the club.

The full back is coming in on a free transfer switch after impressing Steve Kean during a trial.

Having already been nicknamed 'Denis' due to his ability to keep the ball (remember those days of ball retention?) the Brazilian is just waiting on international clearance before he can make the switch to Ewood Park.

The thinking is that he will be able to give Michel Salgado a bit of competition and maybe an odd rest as our boy is hardly getting any younger.

In other news, Radosav Petrovic is expected to complete his move to Rovers within the next 48 hours when his work permit finally rocks up to Ewood for him to complete his 3 million switch.

Hope this is the first of a few signings this week! Can't deny Salgado needs some back up.

Who is he? When I google the name I get a Portuguese player. Is he any good?

Good to see some signings - will Bruno/Denis need a work oermit as well?
Freidelno.1
Good to see another body in, but like everyone else I've no idea about this chap - will he be up to it?
rossp2112
he's young and free, coming up to the so reliable salgado, risk worth taking, esp it appears he's been training with the club for the while now...another shrew signing.

not sure where the young comes from, He is 28, so not young, a bit of a gamble but for free one worth taking
