Goodwillie signs! Finally!!

After what seemed to be a never ending saga, Rovers have finally completed the signing of David Goodwillie from Dundee United. The fee which is officially undisclosed is believed to be around £2.8 million including add ons.

The Scottish international has signed a 4 year deal at the club, with wages believed to be in the region of £25,000 p/w.

Goodwillie will train with Rovers before traveling back up to Scotland where he will join up with fellow Rover Grant Hanley in Craig Levein's Scotland squad for their international friendly against Denmark in Glasgow next Wednesday.

The striker could make his Rovers debut against Kilmarnock next week, and will defiantly be ready to face Wolves on the opening day of the season.

Good addition. Give the lad a chance.

good to see we have a young ambitious striker on board. (im sure we had one anyways but i digress) as long as he gets an honest chance could do well.

Great name, great signing, Bargain IMO. If he was English like Connor Wickham we would've had to pay treble that fee. Welcome to Blackburn Mr.Goodwillie!!!

Why did it take so long? was he waiting to see the Rangers result? a little uneasy about that, but will reserve judgement.Lets hope he is more Kevin Gallagher, than Joe Craig!

I would not rule out a last minute bid for Santa Cruz,we still need a proven premier league striker! its gonna take time for this kid to beef up,and find his feet.
