'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Blackburn - Goal of the Season

Oh good god we'll never shut him up after this (nice one guys.)

For the first time in what seems like an age there was actually a good choice of quality strikes for VBers to debate over which was the goal of the season.

Niko Kalinic's effort away at WBA, Junior Hoilett's superb volley against the same opposition at Ewood also got a few votes and a good mention.

Canadian Hoilett also managed another notch on his bed post with a super jinking run and finish on the final day against Wolves.

Benjani's first goal at Ewood Park against Liverpool also deservedly got on the board for a powerful finish.

And Martin Olsson's outside of the left foot finish at home to Bolton in the CRUCIAL showdown towards the end of the season also registered interest.

But the winner and making one Australian very happy of the VB Award for the Goal of the Season is... Brett Emerton away to Wolves.

In such a crucial game we needed the boys to produce their best and Emo certainly did that with a fantastic volley straight out of the top draw to send Rovers fans wild with the second goal in the 3-2 triumph at Molinuex.

Well done Emo!
